What?
Worship and rock band tutoring, live community performances, writing and recording.
Who?
Upper primary students to early high school.
Wednesday afternoons during the school term (3:30-4:30 pm).

Why?
Develop musicianship by playing as part of a band
Develop confidence by performing at community and youth events
Develop an understanding of music from a worship/church context and performance contexts
Develop key skills for original songwriting and creating songs
Which spaces are available?
Acoustic guitarists, bass guitarists, electric guitarists, pianists, singers, sound technicians, and drummers.
Is much experience required?
Some experience learning or playing an instrument is strongly recommended though there have been some talented students who have played in the band with limited experience on an instrument beforehand. V1 has been known for uncovering some very gifted musicians.
Is there an audition process?
Applicants will experience an informal audition and conversation to discuss their aspirations, share some musical ability, and see if V1 is the right fit for them.
Cost?
$25 per session, invoiced at the start of each term.

How many events?
Students will play at one public event per term.
